--- In a Nutshell... ---
My research focuses on organic semiconductors and conducting polymers for future-emerging sensing applications to rival the abilities of our own senses: With two aims, studying their intrinsic sensitivity for chemistry and molecules to enable such a concept as an integrated electronic nose, and unraveling their potential for evolutionary electronics as a bioinspiration for tomorrow's microelectronic manufacturing.
--- When will you Grow-Up... ---
Evolutionary electronics is a concept founded on the use of reprogrammable hardware able to change their circuit topology to adapt to a specifica task. In case such physical substrates exploit morphogenism of electronic materials, reconfigurability allies with manufacturing, the same way the brain learns new perceptions by growing new connections when our senses imprint unknown sensations. As conducting polymers can grow topologies with electrochemistry, organic semiconductors could unlock new mechanisms to process information and potentially enable circuits to make by themselves.
